This may not be the most glamorous recipe but it always goes down a treat with my friends and family!
Recipe:
Oil for frying
250g Lean Minced Beef
1 small Onion, diced
1 small Carrot, Grated
1 Garlic Clove, finely diced
A splash of Worcester Sauce
1 x 400g Tin Chopped Tomatoes
150ml Water
1 Tbsp Tomato Puree
1 Crumbled Beef stock cube
1 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Balsamic Vinegar, Salt and pepper
Method
1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the onions, garlic and carrot. Cook for 2/3 mins on a medium heat. Add mince and cook until all the meat is browned.
2. Add the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, Worcester sauce and beef stock cube and water. Simmer on a medium heat for 25 mins, until liquid has reduced a little and the meat is tender.
3. Add sugar and vinegar, season with salt and pepper.
