Sesame Prawn Toast

A favourite from the Chinese. I bet you never thought that these were so easy to make! You will need a food processor for this recipe.

Recipe:

Min. 1 litre Oil For Frying
230g Pork Mince
230g Prawns (Cooked or raw)
1 Tsp Salt
1 Egg
200g Sesame Seeds8 Slices of White Bread

Method

1. Place the Pork mince, Prawns, Salt, 50g Sesame Seeds and the Egg in a food processor. Blend to a paste.

2. Put the remaining sesame seeds on a large plate. Spread the Prawn paste over the bread, covering evenly only on one side. Place the bread, paste side down, onto the sesame seeds and press firmly. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

3. Cut each slice into 4 triangles. Heat the oil to 170’c. Deep fry, sesame side down for 2-3 mins, the turn and cook for a further minute. Drain on kitchen paper.
