Toad in the hole

Approx. Cost: £5

Preparation: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 50 mins

Serves: 4

To find out how to make a perfect Yorkshire batter, take a peak in hints and tips!

Recipe:
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Large Onion, sliced
12 Pork Sausages
250g Milk
250g Eggs
250g Flour
Salt and Pepper

Method
1. Heat the 1 tbsp oil in a large frying pan. Pre-heat oven to 220’c.
2. Cook the sausages and onion in the frying pan for 4 – 5 mins until golden. Transfer to oven tray/dish, add the remaining oil and bake for 10 mins.
3. Meanwhile make the Yorkshire batter, beat together flour, milk and eggs until smooth. (Don’t worry if there are a few lumps though!)
4. Remove sausage dish from the oven and pour in the batter mix. Place straight back in the oven and bake for 25 mins.
5. Turn the oven down to 180’c and bake for a further 10 mins.
6. Serve straight away with your favourite potatoes and veggies!
