Apple Crumble

Recipe:
150g unsalted butter
1 Bramley apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
2 tsp caster sugar
80g plain flour
100g brown sugar

20g Oats

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200°C/Gas 6.
1. To make the apple crumble, put 50g of the butter into a small saucepan together with apple and caster sugar and cook gently for 5-6 minutes until the apple has softened and broken down slightly. Pour into a small ovenproof dish.

2. Put the flour, oats, brown sugar and butter in a bowl and mix with your finger tips until it resembles breadcrumbs.

3.Put on top of apple mix and place in the preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes. Serve with Cream, Custard or Ice Cream.
