Bashing things up! If a recipe requires something broken up, place it in a plastic bag before unleashing your fury. This way all of the ingredients make it into the recipe and not all over your kitchen!!!

Buying Fresh Fish! Things to look for in fresh fish, a smell of the sea not stinky fish, clear and un-sunken eyes, firm not soft flesh, bright red not brown gills and these are just a few! Supermarkets have a great selection now; don’t be afraid to ask to have a closer look and a smell!

Salad dressing! To save dirtying another bowl, if you buy bags of mixed salad, add the dressing to the mix while still in the bag and give it a shake! Ta da!
